Although financial contributions are always are greatest need, Cocoon House is very grateful for the many in-kind contributions that help us make a difference in the lives of our young people. Throughout the year, Cocoon House receives gifts of all kinds from generous members of the community. Everything from books, to furniture, to toiletries, to socks can find their way to our donation room. Often a gift certificate or tickets to the movies can make all the difference in the life of a Cocoon youth.Below is a list of new or “like-new items that Cocoon House can accept. Like-new items must be clean and in very good condition; we cannot accept items with rips, tears, stains or other defects.
Food Items – Must be new and unopened
• Gift Cards to local grocery stores
• Canned goods, such as hearty soups, stews, corn, and tuna
• Macaroni and cheese, instant soups/noodles
• Frozen pizzas
• Hot chocolate/apple cider/tea
• Boxed cake and brownie mixes
Basic Needs
• New underwear, boxers and socks (all sizes, larger sizes appreciated)
• Full-size personal hygiene items (unopened) such as, deodorant, shaving cream,
feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, high-quality disposable razors, hair styling products, hand sanitizer, etc.
• New towels, wash cloths, and hand towels
• New clothing and shoes, designed for teens (all sizes, larger sizes appreciated)
• Shower curtains, laundry baskets, waste baskets, laundry soap, and garbage sacks
• Bus passes for Community Transit
Gift Cards
Wal-Mart, Fred Meyers, Target, Payless Shoes, Office Depot, Office Max, Ross, Everett or Alderwood Mall, QFC, Safeway, movie passes, bowling passes, book and music stores

• Cocoon House accepts donations on a case by case basis for items such as furniture, computers and other household items that can be used by our clients.
• Cocoon House does not provide pick up services for any items.
